Meet Micah:

An Anderson County native, Micah Black has over a decade of experience as a South Carolina prosecutor. From DUIs, property crimes, drug crimes, and violent crimes such as armed robberies, burglaries, assaults, domestic violence, attempted murder, murder and sex crimes, Micah has prosecuted and tried every type of case. Dedicated to the rule of law, Micah is excited to return home and work hand-in-hand with Law Enforcement to make his community safer.

Born and raised in Iva, South Carolina, Micah is son of Don and Libby Black and one of four children. Micah attended Anderson Christian School and graduated high school with the Anderson Home School Association. He attended Presbyterian College where he played baseball for the Blue Hose and graduated with a degree in History and Political Science. Micah then attended Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he earned his JD. Immediately returning to South Carolina, Micah passed the bar exam and began his career as a prosecutor in Greenwood and Abbeville Counties.

Micah is married to his college sweetheart, Samantha Black, and they have two boys, Thomas and Hayes, and a dog Lissy. Always eager to give back in both his professional career and his personal life, Micah is dedicated to both his family and community. Whether it be coaching his son’s little league teams and serving as an elder in his church or prosecuting criminals to the fullest extent of the law, Micah looks forward to further investing in his home and in the people of Anderson and Oconee County.
